Hi! I was wondering if anyone know whether Darrin Brown (Dwayne) & Danah-Jean Brown (Trish) were actually related in real life? Also, I was wondering if anyone out there has noticed (as I have) any continuity errors (purely for curiosity). i.e. In the episode where Dwayne tells his friends he's HIV + , when he is at the lockers and he tells Tabi, as she's backing away, you see Alex walk past. As Tabi runs around the corner, the scene cuts to behind Dwayne as he walks to the end of the lockers, and *suprise!* - Alex saunters past once more - same direction. There are quite a few others I've noticed, but I was just wondering if anyone else has picked any?!

*Mark* You can find continuity errors in EVERY episode of Degrassi. Degrassi was not a polished like American television programs. This made it more original and less sensational. It was more believable. Maybe because they used film, they had a budget on how many takes they can take. I'm only guessing, though. I can point out very obvious ones if one pick a specific episodes. As well there are continuity errors in many of the characters. Liz, for example was said to come to Degrassi Junior High in 2nd Term, which is really the second season, but she was in many of the first seasons episodes.

She was sporting a shaved head with blond bangs, but in the 1st Season of Degrassi, she was a background character who had brown long hair with a pony-tail in the middle of her head. This was a true inconsistency. As well, Alex Yankou was often called Yankou as his first name and Alex as his first name in the next episode. ****Take a very close look in the episode "Dog Days" when Stephanie's mother confronts her in the kitchen about how rude she is, and how her behaviour has lead Arthur to run out of the house. You will see how her hair is parted very differently from take to take. This can show that the scene was very discontinuous and choppy. As well when the drug dealer was giving the acid to Shane and Luke, remember in Taking Off, Part 1, at the Gourmet Scum concert. Well there were two takes, and the drug dealer gives Shane and Luke the drugs twice! Once close up, and one take we see him do it again from a distance, (showing the srurroundings of the concert scene)*****

Also, Caitlin's brother Patrick was said to be younger than her, as she babysat him in "Rumour Has It", but Caitlin lived with him and his wife in 5th season. He was now presumed to be older, and not younger. It was not clear of his age, but Caitlin only had one brother. As for Darrin Brown and Danah-Jean Brown being related, I highly doubt it. I am certain of Duncan and Anabel Waugh, (Arthur and Dorothy), and Cathy and Anna Keenan (Liz and Rainbow), are siblings. I think that Sarah and Christopher Charlesworth are siblings, (Susie and Scooter Webster) but I do not know about Danah-Jean and Darrin, I will find out for you.

Hi,

As I watching an episode of Degrassi High I could swear that Arthur utturs a bad word as he is abrutly awakend by his alarm clock. The episode I am describing is called Dream On, the one where Arthur has a huge crush on Caitlin and gets up the courage to ask her out but is turned down. In one of his dreams, Caitlin and he are in a posh resturant and are about to drink out of each others champagne glasses as a tied up Joey watches, when Arthur is awakened by his alarm clock. He wakes up and I swear I heard him utter the word "shit". Did he really say this or am I going crazy?? Please respond......Thanx

*Mark* Arthur uttered shoot, not shit, when he woke up from his fantasy dream about Caitlin. Please be aware that CBC, Showcase, and PBS will edit the series. Since CBC has commercials, you will notice that some of the story will not be in the half hour time frame. These edits have to compensate for the commercials. For instance today, on Showcase, The Degrassi Junior High entitled "Nothing to Fear" depcited LD fearing that her father will not return alive from the hospital, because he goes in there because of chest pains. Part of that episode also involved a snake by the name of Amadeus, and how he got loose out of his cage. Melanie was shown in this episode being taunted by the seven graders and finding the snake in...Snake's bag. This part of "Nothing to Fear" was completely edited out, as if the subject was not touched. Melanie, and the other seven graders were not in that episode, so I guess that what you are saying could possibly have happened, but sometimes the network or the station which purchased the rights to the show (because of syndication) and so they could have edited parts of it.

i was in toronto for a few days after christmas and one day my sister and i took a whole day so we could go and see spike's store. i was planning on buying something from there just so i could tell everybody at home that i got something at spike's store but it was CLOSED!!!!! also did anybody else catch the "school's out movie"? i missed the first few minutes of it because my mom assumed i already knew about it.

Why did Stephaine Kaye leave the show and what was the last eposiode she stared in? Why did Voula and Rick leave?

*Mark* Nicole Stoffman, who played the famous Stephanie Kaye left Degrassi Junior high to star in her own series called "Learning The Ropes", with Lyle Alzedo. The series was a flop, and only lasted one year I think. She now attends McGill University specializing in Theatre, in the English Department. As for Niki Kemeny and Craig Driscoll I do not know why they left, I can find out for you, if you are very interested. Did you notice how in an earlier episode when Arthur tells Yick about Stephanie being his sister...then a few episodes later Yick doesn't know about Stephanie

*Mark* I think this is because Arthur told Yick that he knows Stephanie, but I am not sure if he told her that he was her brother. If you can tell me the episode where he told her they were related, and the episode when Yick had no clue that they were siblings, when he had already told him, then I will see this inconsistency. Also Liz is in the earlier eposodes but is only introduced as a new character later on.

*Mark* Yes I did see Liz in "The Big Dance" passing by with a cup of soda in her hand. She had brown shoulder-length hair with a little ponytail in the middle of her head. She was also seen in the grade seven class sitting in back of Arthur or Susie in "Revolution", when Ms. Avery gives out their exams, in the season finale for Season One.
