Hey Everyone!
In the last Digest, there were a few questions about
"Ready Or Not". Well...living in Toronto, going to the
same High School as Amanda Bertram (Amanda) and being a Teen Tv
Fan- I 'spose I should tell you that Ready Or Not is still on the
air, on Global at 7:30 pm on Fridays (in Canada) It's a Canadian
Show. The two stars are ... 20 and 19 I think. Now- onto Degrassi
related stuff- Degrassi Interactive is slowly growing with

The show is no longer on here in the states, and vidoes to buy
cannot be found anywhere. To me, this is tragic. Atleast Comedy
Central has finally mustered the good sense to start airing
KidsInTheHall.

Degrassi World #33-Stephanie gets revenge---a rewritten episode
on "Fight", written by Mark Polger
(Author's Note: This story actually comes from a real-life
experience of a person who was similar to Stephanie Kaye)
^v^v^v^v^v^v^v^v^v^v^v^v^v^v^v^v^v^v^v^v^v^v^v^v^v^v^v^v^v^
It was in the middle of the semester and Stephanie Kaye could not
take it anymore. Her main goal was to get Simon, and to have him
like her, and she did not let anyone get in her way. She
neglected her student council meetings, she stopped calling
Voula, who moved to the suburbs, and she did not hang around the
twins. She was sick of them paying attention to Spike, who was
getting bigger in her pregnancy. Spike was in the midsts of being
kicked out of Degrassi. She often asked Stephanie to help her,
but Stephanie always said she was too busy with other things.
Spike and the twins did not know why she was so busy. She lost
touch with Lucy and Voula was wondering what was going on. She
slept, drank, ate, breathed, and thought about Simon...and how to
get rid of Alexa. She knew it was war when Alexa wore her tight,
sexy clothes to attract Simon, but when her mum said she looked
like a woman of the night, Stephanie was very happy to have them
back. She knew she had a better body than Alexa, who was alittle
chunky and had big bulgy eyes, and big flappy ears. Stephanie had
to think of a way to get even with her, but she did not know how.
Meanwhile, while Joey was making fun of Dwayne, the other student
at Degrassi , who was also in grade 8, Stephanie thought of an
idea. She knew that Joey was a bog jokester, and that he enjoyed
making fun of Dwayne and all the other students in 8D. If she
could spread the rumour that Alexa was the person who was making
fun of everyone, then Simon could dislike her, and then if
Stephanie could defend the class, by giving a speech about
treating everyone fairly Degrassi, it would make Simon admire her
more. She did not know how to go about planning her strategy, but
she knew that she wanted Alexa to be hated by Simon and the whole
school. She had evil thoughts of Dwayne, herself, and Simon
turning against her, and having the whole school think of her as
a backstabber. She went to school that day, ready to talk to
Joey, and ask him if he could start spreading the rumour with
her. She knew that Dwanyne was planning to have a fight with Joey
in Schuyler park after school on Friday afternoon. It was
supposed to be a big event, and Joey was extremely nervous.
Stephanie wanted to use her power as president to hold a meeting,
to discuss the fact that no one should make fun of anybody, and
if they do, they will be brought to the principal's office. It
seemed like a perfect plan to try to get Simon to like her. He
would think she is a god president and that she cared about the
student body. Meanwhile, while Spike was fighting with the P.T.A.
to stay in school, Stephanie did not make any efforts to help
her. Spike was getting helpless, and people began to know for
sure, that she was pregnant. She could not hide it anymore. The
twins asked Stephanie if she was alright, and Stephanie, looking
at Alexa and Simon kissing, said, "I'm fine, just busy with
some projects for school." She was behind on her work, and
Mr. Raditch, who had just come back from the hospital had
assigned a lot of work for the semester. He had been in the
hospital and Mr. Colby was to replace him for the week. He did
not do any new things with the class. He mainly held debates and
class discussions, mainly with Lucy as the main speaker. He
seemed to like her the most, and he usually ignored Stephanie,
because she was in her own world that semester. No one liked her
after she used Joey to get Wheels jealous. She was getting
depressed, having no boyfriend in grade8, her mother was dating
Jerry, and Arthur, her borther, was getting annoying. Since she
told him last semester she would not ignore him, he always wanted
to eat lunch with her, and to go home with her. She was obsessed
with following Simon and Alexa all the way home. She would take
notes in her little red addressbook, and make some key points
about her strategy. She then put paper notes in Dwayne's locker,
calling him a loser, and other names that insult his
intelligence. She wanted to somehow tell him that it was not Joey
who was making fun of him. Dwayne would have trouble believing
her, because he heard Joey say it himself in the bathroom, but he
did not hear what Alexa and her big, bubbly mouth said in the
girl's bathroom next door. She finally was able to tell Dwayne
that it has been a misunderstanding, and that Joey only was
saying these comments, because Alexa was telling the whole class.
Joey laughed when he heard that Stephanie was doing this, because
he did not know why Stephanie was protecting him. "Why are
you telling Dwayne that Alexa is spreading the rumours?".
What is up your sleeve, Steph?". Stephanie ignored him and
walkled on. "I'm only trying to help you, and to stop Dwayne
from beating you up." Joey yelled out as Stephanie was
leaving the building, "Joey F. Jeremiah is not afraid of
anyone. F is for fighter. Stephanie giggled as her plans were
starting to unfold. Dwayne had heard the news and he was still
going to beat up Joey, but he wanted to beat up Alexa as well.
Simon began to hear rumours about Alexa's big mouth, and he was
not very happy. He approached Stephanie and asked her what was
going on. Stephanie shrugged and asked Simon where Alexa was.
Simon did not know ,but he assumed she was in the bathroom
freshening up before class. "Did you hear about the things
your girlfriend said about Dwayne?" I hear Dwayne is not
very happy. Simon, being very timid and meek, was hoping that
Alexa did not say the things she did. Later that day, Joey was
expected to show up after school at Schuyler park, but he was
late. Snkae and Wheels were waiting, and Alexa and Simon were
there too. Dwayne approached the Simon and Alexa and asked them,
"What have you said about me?". Alexa asked ,"
What are you talking about?. You are here to fight Joey, not me
and Simon." Actually I am here to fight you as well. There
have been many rumours started that you and Joey have been on a
crusade to make me look dumb and stupid. No one calls me or 8D
dumb and stupid. Alexa, who was completely taken aback, said,
"I have never called you dumb and stupid. I only heard Joey
make fun of you. I did laugh, but I never instigated it.".
Dway questioned, "Well, then who made all these rumours up
besides Mr. Jeremiah, who would want to stir trouble?"
Stephanie acted cool and calm, and she did not show any signs
that she started this mess. Her original quest to get Simon to
like her was diminishing, because they were hugging, and they
were going for their 3rd month in their relationship. Stephanie
now felt she did not have chance. She crept out of the park and
started to walk home. Joey came by the park and he said that he
was the one who made the rumours and that Stephanie was his
partner. "Stephanie???", you mean the school
prez?", said Dwayne. "Why would she do that?"
Alexa realized that Stephanie was trying to get her beaten up and
she was also trying to gain points as a president to maintain
order with the student body. She also wanted to win Simon and to
embarass Alexa and to make her look bad in front of Simon. Joey
ended up gettign beaten up because Stephanie left. Dwayne was
doubly angry and he said, "If I could, i would fight
Stephanie, but she is not here, and I do not hit girls, so I will
hit you Jeremiah instead." Joey was seriously hurt, his nose
was broken, he sprained her arm, and he had many bruises all over
his body, from being attacked by Dwayne. Dwayne was thrown out of
Degrassi Junior high and put into another Junior High school for
the rest of junior high. He then went to Degrassi High for grade
9. Stephanie has to give up her position of school president and
Susie Rivera took over. Alex Yankou took over Susie's position of
vice-president, and Stephanie had to make a council meeting to
apologize to 8D, to Simon and Alexa, to Dwayne, and to Joey. The
twins and Lucy were shocked at Stephanie's devious plan, and they
were so upset they did not want to talk to her for the rest of
the semester. Since Degrassi was planning on having a grade 9
there, Stephanie thought it was perfect to go to a new school
next year, to leave Heather, Erica, Lucy, and her annoying
brother. She was through with politics. She only wanted to be
popular, to be liked by the school, and to be liked by Simon. She
was suspended from school for one week, and she never saw Dwayne
again. Calling up Voula one night, she told her the whole story,
and Voula commented, "I am glad I left Degrassi. I will
always be yur friend, but there is one thing I will never like
about you. You only care about your own interests, and you
neglected Spike, and the whole school. As your friend, I am glad
you have been impeached. Stephanie agreed, "Voula, you
should have been president intead of me."
